A behind-the-scenes look at my ongoing journey to health, balance, and self-discovery.

Welcome
Hello and welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. This page is home to my Monthly Self-Care Updates, where I share the real, evolving story of how I’m caring for myself while navigating chronic health challenges, work, community, and life in my 60s.
If you’re new to my blog, you might like to Start Here — it’s a gentle introduction to the Make Selfcare Simple approach. Or, if you’d like to learn more about my background as an intuitive herbalist and why I began this journey, visit my About Page
I’ve always loved “behind-the-scenes” blogs that offer a window into someone’s personal growth — but I rarely saw that same transparency in the world of self-care. So I decided to create it. Each month I share highlights from my personal wellness journey: what’s working, what’s not, what I’m learning, and how I’m adapting along the way.
These updates aren’t about perfection — they’re about progress, reflection, and living in tune with the body you have today.
What Connects It All

If you haven’t already, visit My Menu of Self-Care — it explains the framework I use to support my health and balance.
It’s a flexible “menu” of self-care pathways —
- Practical,
- Nourish,
- Align & Uplift, and
- Mindcraft
— that I adapt each month as my needs shift.
The Monthly Self-Care Updates are my real-life journal of that menu in action.
Here, I also share insights from my new self-care tracking system — a simple, colour-coded chart that turns daily habits into a visual story of consistency, awareness, and progress.
What to Expect
Each Monthly Update includes:
- Health progress & insights: Ongoing symptoms, healing experiments, and gentle tracking of chronic conditions.
- Self-care reflections: My wins, lessons, and “aha” moments from five key areas — Practical, Nourish, Align, Uplift, and Mindcraft.
- Goals & intentions: What I’m focusing on this month and reflections on what’s shifting.
- Real talk: Honest accounts of setbacks, surprises, and creative problem-solving when things don’t go as planned.
I’ll always keep these posts authentic but share only what feels right publicly. The deeper reflections, community conversations, and full Review & Reflect Weekends are reserved for members of my self-care community.
Why I’m Sharing
After 30+ years as an Intuitive Herbalist and Natural Health Practitioner, I’ve learned that self-care isn’t a fixed routine — it’s a living relationship with your body, mind, and spirit. Sharing my journey helps me stay accountable and hopefully encourages you to explore your own rhythm of care and healing.
