About

A Warm Welcome

Hi, I’m Jo Olive, herbalist, natural health practitioner (with 20+ years’ experience), and a big believer in the power of simple, everyday self-care.

Over the years, I’ve seen how much pressure we can put on ourselves when it comes to health and healing. There’s so much noise online — remedies, quick fixes, miracle cures — but what really makes a difference is often the small, consistent things we do to take care of ourselves at home.

My Philosophy

I no longer offer one-to-one consultations, but I still have a deep passion for helping people reconnect with their wellbeing. That’s why I share self-care practices that are:

  • Simple — no complicated routines or expensive equipment.
  • Low-cost — things you can do at home without breaking the bank.
  • Doable — gentle habits that fit around real life.

Instead of giving remedies that need individual guidance, I focus on practical, emotional, nutritional, and mindset self-care. It’s amazing how powerful these “small” things can be when we actually do them.

Why I Write

Like many of my readers, I didn’t find being healthy easy — in fact, that’s exactly why I became a practitioner.

Learning how to support my own body through endometriosis, kidney infections, and and more recently histamine overload issues taught me that self-care isn’t always simple — but it can be made easier.

Writing about my experiences — the hurdles I’ve faced and how I keep going — helps me stay accountable, and I hope it helps you feel less alone on your own journey too.

What You’ll Find Here

On my blog, you’ll discover:

  • Free self-care challenges across four areas: practical routines, emotional “high vibe” practices, nutritional habits, and mindset/personal development. Each comes with a brief challenge summary “recipe” you can save or print.
  • Regular routines like meal prep and decluttering, shared as repeatable monthly challenges.
  • Personal updates on how I manage my own health, self-care ‘reports’ where I document my own selfcare journey (living with MCAS & SIBO) or provide real-life blueprints to overcome self-care challenges

And if you’d like extra support, my newsletter freebie will guide you in choosing and starting your first challenge.

Your Self-Care, Your Way

The challenges I share aren’t about giving you a one-size-fits-all routine. They’re here to help you experiment — to try different approaches just long enough to see what really works for you. Over time, you’ll build your own personalised “menu” of self-care practices that feel good, fit your lifestyle, and actually make a difference.

And when you’re ready for extra encouragement and accountability to stay consistent, the upcoming membership is here to support you — with structure, community, and a safe space to keep growing.

The Bigger Picture

My dream is to create a safe, supportive space where women can practice self-care together. For now, you’ll find plenty of free resources here to get started. And as this community grows, I’ll be sharing ways we can connect more closely and encourage each other along the way.

Because self-care doesn’t have to be complicated — and you don’t have to do it alone.
